Would you please call me Cordelia?

I love the series Anne of Green Gables, I've watched ever since I was a little girl. I'm in love with Anne and Marila and Mathew and oh so dreamy Gilbert. I love the book almost as much! It's an inspiring story to me I wish sometimes I were more like Anne. I wish I could meet her. Prince Edward Island is one of my top place I have to visit....sigh...someday! I want to go so bad that I almost feel homesick for somewhere I've never been! Until then I guess I'll just have to let the movies ease my homesickness (is that a word!).

a bunch of sickies

We've been nothing but sick all week (well since November actually!), we week long of fevers and coughs and the sniffles. We enjoyed a weekend in Logan, well I can't say I fully enjoyed it! I spent the weekend taking care of the boys who had fevers. We spent a day at Grammy and Grandads house (always a treat for the boys) and home again. I'm ready to have a few weekends home before we head out of town again. Nothing super duper to share have a good rest of your week!

I'm jumping back on the band wagon!

"Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."-George S. Patten, U.S. Army General, 1912 Olympian

Sunshine, sunbeams, and surgery...

So I have lots to update on. We had a wonderful Christmas, it was probably one of our absolute best thanks to the boys, strangely enough also our poorest! I think that made it better...
January started out wonderful! Jonny is loving his job and doing excellent. I am so honored that he chose me. I couldn't ask for a more loving, wonderful man to spend eternity with.

>Kael is 31 pounds and healthy as a horse! He's getting bigger by the minute. He talks NON STOP! I love it! He's learned that red lights mean stop, green means go and yellow means slow down. He never fails to tell me what to do when we're driving around! We were walking through the hospital and came to a T with the hallways. All of the sudden he stopped walking and just stood there. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I told him to come on I needed to get somewhere... he said to me pointing up " but Mom Red means  STOP!". He saw the RED EXIT sign above the door. He's so funny! He has become quite the Train Extraordinaire, he loves Thomas. He can sing the WHOLE song, he's memorized lines, and is constantly acting out the shows with his own trains. He's very tender hearted and very obedient most of the time. He doesn't like to see me upset or mad and will tell me "We meed to be happy mom..don't be sad" How can one be mad when your kid's telling you that! He's starting to open up more around strangers, he's not as shy, don't know if this is a good or bad thing! Maybe a little bit of both?

He's a sunbeam now but HATES it. I feel kind of bad for the kid. He just turned three in December and had just gotten used to nursery. I think it was a shock, but he WILL NOT go by himself and freaks out if I even move my chair. I don't want to traumatize the kid but am not sure if it's so good for me to go with him either. Oh well we'll get used to it I suppose! I'm so thankful for my honey bear, he makes my life so much happier and brings me sunshine everyday. He has my heart.

Brady weighs 25 lbs and not my chunky monkey baby anymore we've officially hit toddler stage. He's been alot quicker at learning to talk then Kael. He's so funny. He's very good at saying NO. He hates timeout. He loves to undress himself. He loves his brother and can keep up pretty well with him too! He makes the funniest faces. He would eat nothing but yogurt and bananas if I let him. He can say Mama, Dada, Kael (sounds more like Cool!), Banana, Milk, Please, Thanks, Hi, Hello, Bye Bye, Dog, Cow. We took him to the aquarium and was SO excited (I'm talking screaming at the top of his lungs) at seeing Nemo fish. It was hilarious! He'd walk up to a tank and say "HI ish (fish) Hi". He can be such a stinker sometimes, he can make me so mad but then in an instance makes me laugh. He'll be trouble when he gets bigger I'm sure of it!

January 12 I had a sliver removed from my hand. This was no ordinary sliver this is what it took.
So let me explain...on November 11 I was cleaning my cabinets in my kitchen and the wood had split. I didn't know it and shoved the wood clear into my hand. I could feel the wood still in there but the first DR. I went to told me he didn't think that there was any in there. He told me he thought it was all in my head. ^ weeks later my finger went numb and I couldn't open doors, or button up my pants with my left hand I went to a new Dr., he was GREAT! He ordered an MRI and after see what looked like a piece of wood suggested he try and get it out. My surgery ended up being about 90 minutes long, the nerves weren't damaged permanantly and he pulled out a piece of wood about an inch and a half long. That's right I had a small toothpick inside of my hand. I'm so glad it's out but it's been a hard recovery. The picture is right before he took my stiches out. I have to wear a glove to give it a little cushion (that's a post deserving it's own!) and my skin is starting to split in a couple of places it pulls. Overall I'm getting better and it's less tender. Not completely but hopefully soon!

I have a million more things to update on but there is no time I'm off to tackle the toy room! Until next time I'll leave you with this adorable picture!

he's always trying to pull his diaper off so he always has plumber bum!

Aren't they adorable!

Hopefully Mormon

So here is a link to a really inspiring website called Hopefully Mormon. My Aunt Hope turned me on to it and I loved it so much I made a submission of my own. Maybe they'll have it on there!

Let me explain there were two reasons that I picked this picture. I think the quote fits quite literally with the boys...we were taking family pictures and the boys spotted a helicopter that flew right over us. Second I chose it because at one point in my life I didn't think I would ever have kids of my own. It was a very long hard road to for me, I eventually came to a point where I knew that the only thing left for me to do what to honestly put all of my faith and trust in the Lord. Whatever he chose for me was ok, I'd be fine and happy with that. Well he blessed me with two beautiful boys who have literally taught me to "Come What May and Love It" I'm thankful for that long hard lesson learned. Now I just need to continue to remember that...
