It's not all hard...

I saw this on pinterest and it made me laugh, but don't think it's entirely true. Parenting is HARD, probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life. When it took SO long for me to get pregnant for the first time, I never imagined how hard it is and on SO many levels. But at the same time I also find it the BEST job in the world. Any my co-worker is pretty hot I'd have to say! What other job lets you work with these darling littles and have all this fun for work...

Santa thought they'd all been pretty good! I took the three kids while my MIL held Adley but then I felt bad that she didn't have a picture with the Jolly guy so I waited in line for forever with her to get a picture.
Sorry crappy phone picture at night but I love her crazy hair!
Who wouldn't love an Adley sandwich!
Our Christmas Forrest instead of Gingerbread, it's going to be a tradition it was so much easier than houses and I didn't have to glue anything together! The kids loved it. Brady's technique was genius he said to me I'll put one M&M on the tree and then eat one!
After Sandy Hook, getting up a million times in the night isn't as bad as I used to think. I don't get as frustrated when three of the four climb into bed with us and the baby wakes up because one of them insists on talking to us at 3am..

Our spiciest one of the bunch, she knows how to try my patience more than anyone else but that's ok I'm learning to be cool with it (or pretending I am cool with it)
This smarty pants is picking up on reading so well! I love that he loves to learn.
See told you my coworker was HOT!
Simon says touch your knees...
Our traditional making Reindeer dust so they can find our house and some delicious  carrot and apple popsicles for Rudolph and his pals, while they wait for the Big man.

Being a parent is HARD and not always fun as you can see!

But I wouldn't change it for anything in the entire world!

xoxo,
Whit

Counting my blessings..

As the horrific news of the elementary school shooting is everywhere today I am reminded how precious my children are to me. So tonight we followed through with one of our family Christmas traditions. Making reindeer dust so they find our house and reindeer popsicles for them to much on while the Jolly man is visiting. I enjoyed it more tonight more than ever before. We are going to watch Home Alone now as I snuggle my babies a little longer tonight.

Tonsils, Turning Two, Tree's, and Turkey...

I put the pictures in from my phone and need to remember in the future that they will go in backwards if I put them in chronological order on my phone. I tried but am too lazy to fix it now on my computer! So here is an update of our recent happenings.

Tonsils:

Kael got to experience what surgery is like yesterday and I think we are safe to say he is not a fan. Although he was so BRAVE and COURAGEOUS. I thought he would freak out more than he did. He was nervous but was so brave when they told him it was time to leave us. He is in pain but being such a trooper about it all! He is drinking and taking his meds which is all I care about right now and today has even asked to eat several times. I hope this is the worst of it but we shall see.

Waiting for them to take us to pre-op there was a huge train that was a fabulous distraction.

He thought the jammies they gave him were pretty cool and they had lots of fun games to play. His masks smelled like Cotton Candy per his request! And took him back to surgery in style!

Adley and I waiting to get permission to go back and see how he was doing.
She wanted the phone so bad, and makes the best faces ever!

Charmed everyone with that smile even the Dr!

This beautiful girl turned 2 the day after Thanksgiving! We celebrated with cupcakes and presents!

The Saturday before Thanksgiving we decided to go cut our Christmas tree! If you know me I LOVE Christmas more than any other time of the year so I was MORE than willing when Jon suggested it. Cutting our tree is always so much fun and gets more so every year as the kids get bigger.
Jonny is quite the dreamy fella!

Waiting for Dad to load up the tree

Over the river and through the woods to Grammy and Grandad's house we go...
We got a little bored towards the end of the drive so Kael and I kept ourselves occupied as usual!

Brady and Kael were given the task to make place cards!

Their hard work ( I adore when they are learning to write)
Ready to feast and declare our Thanks!
