Birth pictures...

When I found out I was pregnant I told Jonny that I wanted to hire someone to come take some really nice pictures of the birth since we don't really have any of the others. He was a little apprehensive at first but knew it was something that I really really wanted. So for my birthday he said YES! I asked a fabulous photographer Mindy Smith (click her name to go to her website, she is fabulous and you should have her take your pictures!) to do ours. We talked about what I wanted and I was SO excited for this to take place! Unfortunately my birth didn't go as planned, (if you didn't read my last post about Adley's birth I went from a 5 to having her in 35 minutes. Very unexpected, and Mindy was 5 minutes late. She still got some really beautiful shots of Adley all Gooey still and the Dr. working on my and such so that helps my disappointment. One night in the hospital I was up with Adley and thinking about my day and got so excited to see what she was able to capture because she was there to get the first time I had all four of my babies with me. She captured my kiddos faces and expressions as they met their new baby sister for the first time ever. That to me was even more special and sacred than even the first moments of having her. Nothing is more important to me than Jonny and my children. I am IN LOVE with the pictures that she took, she got everyone's personalities just perfect in the moments she captured (and I love even more that nothing is posed it's all just her observing what was going on!). I picked some to share with you, I just couldn't help myself but to share them. So here are a few that I just had to show off.

ps. I have another friend who took some more pictures of my Doll Baby today... . Stay tuned!

Who does she look like?

Adley June

Kael Jon

I think she looks most like Jon in a girly way and has the most amount of hair so far! What do you think?

Grandpa Kremin meets Adley

I just have to put this on here so I don't forget in the future. This is my darling Grandpa meeting Adley for the first time. He usually isn't one to hold the babies (or kids) not that he doesn't love them because I know he does he just doesn't. He asked me if he could hold her and I was more than happy to let him snuggle her for a few minutes. I am very close to my grandparents on this side and it was a tender moment for me to see my Grandpa hold my newborn baby girl and kiss her cheeks. Love you so so much Grandpa.

Our darling Doll Baby... Adley June Muir

I figured while I have my mom here today still I should get to this before I am on my own and don't have the time! Our sweet baby girl is here and it was a very exciting day for all of us! About 6 wks before I was due I talked to my Dr about the possibility of having him break my water early because I have a history of big babies and Jon's work schedule is CRAZY! He said he would do it on August 22nd because he was leaving town on the 23rd. The 22nd of August is Brady's birthday, knowing this I just said ok and left. I went back and forth over this because I wasn't sure if I wanted to have two kids with the same birthday. We asked Brady how he felt about it and he thought it was awesome! Still not knowing what I should do I just started hoping that I would go early and wouldn't have to worry about it. The time came closer and still no baby. He checked me at 36 weeks and I was only dilated to a 1.5 and then 37 wks nothing had changed. At 38 wks he said I was about a 3 and had started to thin. My dr said the likely hood of me going into labor on my own at that point wasn't huge and he would just see me on the 22nd. I felt good about it all but somewhat hesitant because I wasn't as dilated as I had been with Oakley but he felt confident about it. Nothing through the weekend even my regular contractions I had been having stopped. My mom came out Tuesday morning and off to the hospital early Wednesday morning we went. We got there at 6:50 and I was all ready to go by 7:30. My Dr. came in and broke my water at 7:50. I was dilated to a 4 at this point, we had discussed me just walking to get things moving. So Jonny and I walked and walked for 3 hrs. I had them check me and nothing had changed at all. I was so disappointed because this meant I would have to go on the pitocin but didn't feel like walking more would help the situation. They started pitocin at 1:45 and for the first 2 and a half hours I didn't really feel much at all. Jon decided that since it looked like things were going to take alot longer than we thought he would run to the store and get some snacks and get some dinner. Quickly after he left I started to have contractions that hurt and started to get intense so I had them check me. I was only to a 5 and still thick and baby was still high they told me. I wanted to just cry at this point because I was only half way. I was thinking about asking for an epidural because I didn't want to go hours longer on the pit and have to deal with it because it was going much slower than I wanted. The contractions started to get really close together and hard. I texted Jon telling him it was getting hard and that I needed him. He didn't reply so about 10 minutes later I called him and just said to him "I needed him and needed him fast" in between contractions and hung up on him. He walked in right as they were helping me to the bathroom, I got back in bed and could feel the baby move down. She checked me and I was at an 8, she told the CNA to call the Dr. He said he would be there in 5 min. Within a minute or so I could tell that baby was ready, she checked me and I heard her say that I was complete. My Dr. walked in and I was already pushing. He threw on his gloves and 3 pushes later she was out. I was concentrating SO hard my Dr told me to look. She was so cute and just squeaking. All of this excitement happened from when they checked me at 5cm to Baby in 35 minutes! I was so happy to see her and everything looked and sounded great. She has such a mellow easy temperament. She is very patient, but doesn't have much of a choice! She has been such a terrific little eater and sleeper for mama. We all love her to pieces and the kids have been adjusting well. Oakley kinda acts up more here and there but she isn't used to having to wait her turn! I am so thankful that Heavenly Father has blessed us with another little darling baby and that everything went well. The boys are so sweet with her and Kael tells me several times a day that she is just so cute or so adorable. Amazing how fast it just instantly feels like they have been apart of your family for forever. I will have more pictures of the rest of us meeting her and enjoying her later when my darling new friend Mindy gets me some! Stay tuned....

How many sleeps until...

My kids count sleeps until everything. I guess it's easier to comprehend than counting days?! So in the car today we were making our usual list of sleeps until {almost a daily conversation around here}...

~3 sleeps until Suday {they always want to know how many sleeps until sunday for some reason?!}
~5 sleeps until Grammy comes to stay for a few days
~6 sleeps until Brady's Birthday
~2 sleeps until Daddy has two WHOLE days off work in the daytime and nightime! YAY for weekends
~6 sleeps until we get to meet our darling little doll baby!
~100 (or around there) sleeps until Kael's birthday {I think he's a little green with a brother having a birthday!}
~13 sleeps until school starts

Just thought you might like to know!

I had a thought...

and need to write it down so I don't forget it. I need to be much more relaxed as a mother. As I was cleaning/nesting I found myself getting after the kids about this and that. Looking back at what I was getting after them for they were ridiculous things like how they go one way around the couch instead of another or when I told them they could get a drink out of the hose why wouldn't I expect them to be kids and get wed and dirty, then I get frustrated with them for getting dirty. How STUPID is that?! (it's ok you can think it too!) I need to try so much harder at just letting them be kids, they are only this way once. So just for the sake of writing it down so I see it again.

Dear Whitney
BE MORE RELAXED AND LET YOUR KIDS BE KIDS! YOU'LL BE SAD ONE DAY WHEN THEY ARE ALL GROWN UP.

p.s I saw this today and loved it... fabulous reminder to myself and thought I would share.

Excuses Excuses...

Want to hear my excuses for not updating (are you really surprised?) lately... Here they are:

1. A certain little blond haired adorable little boy dropped my laptop and broke it. Like busted the screen, he's not all to blame I actually am probably more to blame for letting him play with it without me and the location he was playing wasn't the best idea... so I'll take the brunt of that one!

2. We havne't had internet until NOW (shout HOORAY) and everytime I have had access to it I haven't thought about updating!

3. I hate to blog without pictures and need to get them off the camera

4. Laziness I guess... I am so ready to be done being pregnant, I have no energy except today I AM determined to get the house ready for baby since I hope she decides she is ready to meet us any day now! Pushing my luck I am sure but a girl can wish right?!

Ok enough of the excuses... here is an update for you....

We had a BLAST in California, I was SO exhausted and figured out my pregnant body and Mr. Sun hate one another (had some weird reaction to the sun) but overall it was a fabulous trip. The kids still talk about daily what their favorite ride was and what they want to ride next time we go. Thanks Mom and Dad for such a fun vacation. The best part was we got to spend 8 whole entire days with Jonny without any work for him at all! It was heaven! I have lots of fun pictures just need to get them so I'll tell you more about it next time!

Jonny has been working TONS but it's been a big blessing for our family even though we hate to have him gone so much. He has been making sure to take Saturdays off so we feel like even though the week is absolutely nuts we get a normal weekend to spend time together. The kids' favorite activity is to head up the mountain and throw rocks into the creek so we have spent MANY weekend this summer on the mountain doing nothing but hanging out and exploring. It's easy, laid back and they have a ball. I love our mountains and are so blessed that there are so close.  Here are a few that I do have handy of our great mountain adventures!

Love my mountains!

The boys were trying to start a fire like Ian Hawk from Chipwrecked!

The little fellas:

Both are growing up so fast... getting ready to start school and most days are such good friends. Life is all about super heroes and spiderman. They have started planning their christmas lists ( not their mama's children at all are they?!)
*Brady is my loviest of all my kids, he's always telling me he loves me or he thinks I am so pretty. He is very excited to turn 4 and thinks that his baby sister needs to have the same birthday as him, (it's an option but we'll see!) Along with all the compliments he likes to remind me ever so lovingly that my bum is getting really big too! Kids are so honest it's fabulous and does wonders for a 9 month pregnant lady's self esteem! Guess it's movtivation to loose weight fast so my kids stop telling me how big and fat I look!
*Kael is beyond excited for Kindergarten, he met his teacher Mrs. Brown (who is very young and cute) and he said to me as we were walking out of the school. I think I will really like her, she is so cute and nice! He is starting to act much more like a big kid than little. He is very very helpful most of the time which hopefully kicks in even more in a few weeks from now! Yesterday he said to me Mom we need to plan a trip to the zoo, I replied Ok but after the baby gets here I can't go that far anymore. He said to me "Oh your probably right, your belly is getting so HUGE those tigers might be able to reach out of their cages and eat your belly. That wouldn't be good would it. Tigers might like to eat bellies" I laughed so hard. Thanks buddy for pointing out once again the my belly is extremely large.

Miss Sassy Pants:

She is sassier than ever, a girl who knows what she wants, when she wants it and isn't afraid to tell you all about it. She is talking SO well and says the cutest things. She ADORES babies, she likes to rock them and "MING" (swing) them. I am a little fearful of baby sis who is coming soon, Oakley likes to be really involved in anything to do with babies. She loves her daddy and gets to excited to see him every day. She asks me all day long here Dada is. Still the best little eater in the world, she'll eat things I won't and could eat nonstop if I let her!

I have started working part time from home for a Health Insurance Agent here in town. It's going to be a big blessing for our family I feel. The hours are really flexible and right now such a good fit for our circumstances. I am really excited about it!  I did have to decide though to quit babysitting. Honestly somewhat of a relief because all of the kiddos are so young and now including baby there would be 7 kid 6 and under. I was feeling kind of overwhelmed.  It was really hard though to decide to do since I have had them around everyday for so long. 3 years now! It was a bittersweet decision to come to but feel it's right. I hate those kind of answers, don't you!

Not really any big fabulous news, except that we are down to a few weeks until Little Miss 2 comes along! We are SO very very excited to meet her, especially me since that means I can be done being pregnant! In fact I am sure the next time you hear from me it will be to post pictures of our little doll baby. She's kinda given us a few scares, I went in a few weeks ago for a normal appt and she was being really wiggly. Her heart rate was up over 200. Dr sent me to L&D for a NST for a few hours. It came down but made me a little worried, then last week I laid down to count kicks since they told me I needed to after my last NST and she wasn't moving hardly at all during that day. I finally called L&D and they told me I needed to come make sure everything was alright. I spent three hours there, her heart rate was fine she must have just been sleepy I guess. I hope she comes out soon so we can stop having to worry about stuff like this! So thankful for modern medicine thought to keep on eye on things.

Well I need to get to my list of things to accomplish today... update you on baby and the rest of us soon!
