Wish I had a good excuse but sadly I don't!

Oh the many many times I have sat down to update this blog and the many many times I have failed to complete it! There is so much I have missed blogging about but will just post pictures of our recent happenings. We have been extrememly busy over our way.
-Jonny is working LOTS and LOTS and we miss him when he is gone so much but we are headed in a good direction so feel like for the time being it's a good thing. Although after Miss Sister gets here in a few weeks I will need him to scale back a little bit! He decided that he wants to get his graduate degrees and so we decided to once again make a career move. He has taken the Account Manager position for an Electrical Distributing company here in town, but the good thing is if we ever decide to leave the area it's a nation wide company so we might possibly be able to transfer. He is enjoying his Stake Young Mens calling alot and has had fun planning activites and teaching Missionary prep. He's such a great example to me, he's so dedicated to his stuff!

-I am pretty much just busy taking care of the munchkins, and growing Miss Sis! I have caught the nesting bug and feel like I am making some progress on my list of to do before baby comes! Seems like I am never going to be on top of laundry though... sorry babe I know it drives you NUTS. I am looking forward to being able to run again after baby and have several half marathons I would love to do next summer.

-Kael is officially going to be a kindergartner next year! He is very excited although has mentioned several times he misses his preschool teacher Mrs. Renee. He's looking more like a big boy instead of my little Kael bug. It makes me sad but it's fun to see him growing and maturing. He is still very tender hearted, I have to be really careful what I let him watch and see on tv because he seems to be affected very easily. About a month or so ago I heard that a boy the I went to HS with had a son that drown in a river. I was watching a video on the news channel about it and was crying. He came in a saw and asked what I was watching. I explained to him and he got SO upset that the little boy drowned and died. He was so worried that would happen to his little brother and sister. He was so worried for the family. I had to stop on the way to preschool and say a prayer with him for the family because he was so upset by it. He seems very in touch with the spirit and many times find him off by himself saying a prayer for someone or something, without any promptings from me or Jon. He's such a loving and careing boy although has found his inner tease and has started testing it out on his siblings a little bit.

Brady- As usual my lovey dovey wants to snuggle with mom boy! I love it. He gets thinking about something and can't seem to drop it. For example he wants his friend Jake to come play and has been asking me every two minutes if he's coming even though I have told him each time i don't know his mom hasn't texted me back yet! He's up every morning by 7 and asks first thing which friend he can play with that day. I feel kind of bad for him this next year all his friends he plays with are the kids Kael's age and they will all be going to kindergarten. He will be in preschool twice a week and is very excited about that. He can't wait for his birthday to come or his baby sister! He's in Itty Bitty ball and so far we have learned has some fantastic Basketball skills when he focuses on what he's doing. Next week is tennis... we'll see how well I do since the parents get to participate!

We are headed to Disney in a couple of weeks and both boys are SO EXCITED! We have been counting down Church days for months. We are down to two more church days until we get to go.

Oakley is growing way to fast for my liking! She's talking so much and learns new words every day. She is a girl who know what, when and how she likes things and hasn't a problem expressing when she disagrees! She's a sweet little nut though. She loves her brothers and trys hard to play with them even when they don't want her to. She adores babies and I am sure will be plenty of help when Miss Sis arrives. On morning she woke up and asked where DaDa was I said he's at work already and she said "Oh Man" Her favorite word is HEY. If someone touches her blanket or something she wants she's right over there correcting them with a big "HEY MINE" or HEY MOVE". We sure love our Sassy Sis!

We made our first venture up the mountain for a picnic and it was FREEZING. We managed to have some fun though!

I have to say I am now a WHITESOX fan... and am in love with the cutest player on the team!
His favorite position to play is "picture" and is having a ball learning all about baseball. Especially when he gets to play catch with Dad. In the car after one of his games I was telling him something to do or not to do I can't remember and he piped up and said " Mom I am only small and have never played baseball before I am still learning give me a break!"

Such supportive siblings!

Thats all I have for now I need to take the most recent pics off of my camera! and Note to self put myself in more pictures! I have an ultrasound next week of baby girl I'll make sure to post pictures of our lovely baby girl! ONLY 13 more weeks until we get to meet her!

For when I need a reminder...

"Some might ask when faced with such suffering, how could Almighty God let this happen? And then that seemingly inevitable question, why did this happen to me? Why must we experience disease and events that disable or call precious family members home early or extend their years in pain? Why the heartaches? At these moments we can turn to the great plan of happiness authored by our Heavenly Father. That plan, when presented in the pre-earth life, prompted us all to shout for joy. Put simply, this life is training for eternal exaltation, and that process means tests and trials. It has always been so, and no one is spared."

Balancing things out...

So for the first time in almost 6 years I won't be outnumbered by boys anymore. We thought we would even out the teams and add another GIRL to our family! Can't wait to meet her, until then I am beyond ready to start making matching bedding and picking out names!

Kidisms...

Back in February my parents watched the munchkins for a few days and they were having a converstation about dreams with Grammy and Grandad. Brady was telling them about his dream he had about Black Panther (an Avenger) and Kael piped up and said matter of factly to Brady... " Brady you need to dream about more important things, I dream about Jesus."

Good to know someone in this house is having "important" dreams!

Its a...

BABY! Like any of our other children they like to do things on their own terms... I had my mid-pregnancy ultrasound this morning. I am happy to report baby measure exact to the date of my due date and weighs about half of a pound. Baby wouldn't untuck or unpinch it's little legs for anything (little stinker!) so we didn't get really any shot of what it might be. I have my guess but will keep that to myself (sort of) until I know for sure. (Yes I will be like that!) So until we know what baby is it will continue to be called squishy. I do however think we will have to pick a name before baby comes because Brady is starting to regularly call the baby Spiderman! He keeps asking what we will name the baby and isn't very patient. Here are some pictures that we did get of baby and all it's cuteness!

Isn't squishy adorable!

Maybe at my next appointment we'll be able to know for sure if baby is a he or she... any guesses?

Less Hermity...

Thankfully I am starting to come out of hermit mode. I haven't really done anything fun or picture worthy with the kids (Kael asked me one day when I was going to be a fun mom and do stuff with them again, it made me sad) and some of our family pictures we had taken that I still need to print.   So here is a update on all the munchkins including Squishy as he/she is affectionately called.

Kaely-welly bug:
Loves school and is doing exceptionally well (a Mama can brag right!), his teacher said he is very kind hearted and treats everyone very well at school. He has been such a good helper to me on days that I haven't been able to do much. He is always willing to get Brady or Oakley a snack or something when they need it without hardly any complaining. He is working extra hard to earn quarters for souvenirs at Disneyland this summer. He has his phone number memorized. And is starting to try and spell words, he always asks for us to give him hard ones even though he can't do them just quite yet. He loves to draw and do anything crafty and is very attentive to details. The kid won't stop growing or eating! He wants the baby to be a brother so bad so that we can name it Jackson like Percy Jackson! (one of his favorite shows right now) He's full of questions about the baby, how can the dr see it, how will it come out, how is it growing in the water balloon etc. He's the funniest, cutest, most adorable 5 yr old I know and my most favorite Kaely-welly-bug in the whole entire world!

Brader-nader-potater:
He is a smart little whipper snapper! He's become even more independent that I ever could have imagined but at the same time is so lovely dovey. He's always tell me how much he loves more or how I am the best mom ever (wish it were true!) He is still OBSESSED with spiderman and tells me about his dreams all the time how he is spiderman and saves the day. He knows all his ABC's and is learning to recognize his numbers now. He is an early riser and is up most days by 7am. He still loves peanut butter but we are slowly ( I use that word lightly) starting to branch out to at least trying new foods. Only because Santa told him he needed to try new foods. I love how enthusiastic he gets about life and things he enjoys. He adds something to our family no other one can! He is my favorite Brady boy ever!

Miss Sassy Pants:
Boy is that an understatement. She is a firecracker and lets everyone know it! She has her mind made up and doesn't back down. She can hold her own pretty well with her brothers but most of the time just adores them and is glad to play what they are playing. (when they let her!) She LOVES to eat and will eat literally ANYTHING. So nice after having the boys be so picky. She would eat non-stop too if I let her. She loves her babies and we are starting to accumulate quite the collection. She is an excellent napper and goes to bed so well. It has made my life much easier on days that I have felt horrible. She is friendly with everyone and loves to say hi to all who pass her way!

Squishy:
I get to find out next week what squishy is! My dr tried to look the other day when I was there and baby was just laying face down at the bottom of my uterus. Not cooperative at all! I have started to feel baby move more which is always the fun part of pregnancy at least for a while. I am 17 wks today. I will post pictures next week as soon as we know what baby is. I have names that I like for either so I am not very worried. I will be just happy with either!

Hope your all well and have a great day! xoxo

The Hermit...

I have been a little hermitish (not sure it's a real word but it's by blog I can say what I want!) lately and feel bad I have neglected lots but I do have a good excuse this time I promise... here is why...

We were super surprised but SO very excited! Kael insists its a brother and his name is Jackson. I guess we'll see?! I figure end of March, first of April we will find out what baby is. Until then I know it's bad to wish time away but I can not wait to be further along and able to function at a better level! My body is feeling a little old! I have a TON of pictures to post and share but don't have time right now. I need to drag myself off the couch and get ready to go run some errands.
