I had a thought...

and need to write it down so I don't forget it. I need to be much more relaxed as a mother. As I was cleaning/nesting I found myself getting after the kids about this and that. Looking back at what I was getting after them for they were ridiculous things like how they go one way around the couch instead of another or when I told them they could get a drink out of the hose why wouldn't I expect them to be kids and get wed and dirty, then I get frustrated with them for getting dirty. How STUPID is that?! (it's ok you can think it too!) I need to try so much harder at just letting them be kids, they are only this way once. So just for the sake of writing it down so I see it again.

Dear Whitney
BE MORE RELAXED AND LET YOUR KIDS BE KIDS! YOU'LL BE SAD ONE DAY WHEN THEY ARE ALL GROWN UP.

p.s I saw this today and loved it... fabulous reminder to myself and thought I would share.

Excuses Excuses...

Want to hear my excuses for not updating (are you really surprised?) lately... Here they are:

1. A certain little blond haired adorable little boy dropped my laptop and broke it. Like busted the screen, he's not all to blame I actually am probably more to blame for letting him play with it without me and the location he was playing wasn't the best idea... so I'll take the brunt of that one!

2. We havne't had internet until NOW (shout HOORAY) and everytime I have had access to it I haven't thought about updating!

3. I hate to blog without pictures and need to get them off the camera

4. Laziness I guess... I am so ready to be done being pregnant, I have no energy except today I AM determined to get the house ready for baby since I hope she decides she is ready to meet us any day now! Pushing my luck I am sure but a girl can wish right?!

Ok enough of the excuses... here is an update for you....

We had a BLAST in California, I was SO exhausted and figured out my pregnant body and Mr. Sun hate one another (had some weird reaction to the sun) but overall it was a fabulous trip. The kids still talk about daily what their favorite ride was and what they want to ride next time we go. Thanks Mom and Dad for such a fun vacation. The best part was we got to spend 8 whole entire days with Jonny without any work for him at all! It was heaven! I have lots of fun pictures just need to get them so I'll tell you more about it next time!

Jonny has been working TONS but it's been a big blessing for our family even though we hate to have him gone so much. He has been making sure to take Saturdays off so we feel like even though the week is absolutely nuts we get a normal weekend to spend time together. The kids' favorite activity is to head up the mountain and throw rocks into the creek so we have spent MANY weekend this summer on the mountain doing nothing but hanging out and exploring. It's easy, laid back and they have a ball. I love our mountains and are so blessed that there are so close.  Here are a few that I do have handy of our great mountain adventures!

Love my mountains!

The boys were trying to start a fire like Ian Hawk from Chipwrecked!

The little fellas:

Both are growing up so fast... getting ready to start school and most days are such good friends. Life is all about super heroes and spiderman. They have started planning their christmas lists ( not their mama's children at all are they?!)
*Brady is my loviest of all my kids, he's always telling me he loves me or he thinks I am so pretty. He is very excited to turn 4 and thinks that his baby sister needs to have the same birthday as him, (it's an option but we'll see!) Along with all the compliments he likes to remind me ever so lovingly that my bum is getting really big too! Kids are so honest it's fabulous and does wonders for a 9 month pregnant lady's self esteem! Guess it's movtivation to loose weight fast so my kids stop telling me how big and fat I look!
*Kael is beyond excited for Kindergarten, he met his teacher Mrs. Brown (who is very young and cute) and he said to me as we were walking out of the school. I think I will really like her, she is so cute and nice! He is starting to act much more like a big kid than little. He is very very helpful most of the time which hopefully kicks in even more in a few weeks from now! Yesterday he said to me Mom we need to plan a trip to the zoo, I replied Ok but after the baby gets here I can't go that far anymore. He said to me "Oh your probably right, your belly is getting so HUGE those tigers might be able to reach out of their cages and eat your belly. That wouldn't be good would it. Tigers might like to eat bellies" I laughed so hard. Thanks buddy for pointing out once again the my belly is extremely large.

Miss Sassy Pants:

She is sassier than ever, a girl who knows what she wants, when she wants it and isn't afraid to tell you all about it. She is talking SO well and says the cutest things. She ADORES babies, she likes to rock them and "MING" (swing) them. I am a little fearful of baby sis who is coming soon, Oakley likes to be really involved in anything to do with babies. She loves her daddy and gets to excited to see him every day. She asks me all day long here Dada is. Still the best little eater in the world, she'll eat things I won't and could eat nonstop if I let her!

I have started working part time from home for a Health Insurance Agent here in town. It's going to be a big blessing for our family I feel. The hours are really flexible and right now such a good fit for our circumstances. I am really excited about it!  I did have to decide though to quit babysitting. Honestly somewhat of a relief because all of the kiddos are so young and now including baby there would be 7 kid 6 and under. I was feeling kind of overwhelmed.  It was really hard though to decide to do since I have had them around everyday for so long. 3 years now! It was a bittersweet decision to come to but feel it's right. I hate those kind of answers, don't you!

Not really any big fabulous news, except that we are down to a few weeks until Little Miss 2 comes along! We are SO very very excited to meet her, especially me since that means I can be done being pregnant! In fact I am sure the next time you hear from me it will be to post pictures of our little doll baby. She's kinda given us a few scares, I went in a few weeks ago for a normal appt and she was being really wiggly. Her heart rate was up over 200. Dr sent me to L&D for a NST for a few hours. It came down but made me a little worried, then last week I laid down to count kicks since they told me I needed to after my last NST and she wasn't moving hardly at all during that day. I finally called L&D and they told me I needed to come make sure everything was alright. I spent three hours there, her heart rate was fine she must have just been sleepy I guess. I hope she comes out soon so we can stop having to worry about stuff like this! So thankful for modern medicine thought to keep on eye on things.

Well I need to get to my list of things to accomplish today... update you on baby and the rest of us soon!

Miss Adley

Here she is! I can't wait to meet this little squishy baby! 28 weeks today and getting more and more excited everyday. Kael was able to come with me and we have a fun little date together since Daddy couldn't make it. He loved it. We got to see her sticking her tongue out and she kept yawning.

My favorite picture of all of them.
She already has chubby cheeks and chin! I love me some chubby babies!

She's yawning!

For my children to remember...

Dear Kael and Brady, Oakley, Adley and any other children to come,

If there is anything that I teach you in your lives I hope that these are the things you grow up knowing for sure because they are the most important to remember above anything else I teach you.

Love you always no matter what,
Your Mama

Wish I had a good excuse but sadly I don't!

Oh the many many times I have sat down to update this blog and the many many times I have failed to complete it! There is so much I have missed blogging about but will just post pictures of our recent happenings. We have been extrememly busy over our way.
-Jonny is working LOTS and LOTS and we miss him when he is gone so much but we are headed in a good direction so feel like for the time being it's a good thing. Although after Miss Sister gets here in a few weeks I will need him to scale back a little bit! He decided that he wants to get his graduate degrees and so we decided to once again make a career move. He has taken the Account Manager position for an Electrical Distributing company here in town, but the good thing is if we ever decide to leave the area it's a nation wide company so we might possibly be able to transfer. He is enjoying his Stake Young Mens calling alot and has had fun planning activites and teaching Missionary prep. He's such a great example to me, he's so dedicated to his stuff!

-I am pretty much just busy taking care of the munchkins, and growing Miss Sis! I have caught the nesting bug and feel like I am making some progress on my list of to do before baby comes! Seems like I am never going to be on top of laundry though... sorry babe I know it drives you NUTS. I am looking forward to being able to run again after baby and have several half marathons I would love to do next summer.

-Kael is officially going to be a kindergartner next year! He is very excited although has mentioned several times he misses his preschool teacher Mrs. Renee. He's looking more like a big boy instead of my little Kael bug. It makes me sad but it's fun to see him growing and maturing. He is still very tender hearted, I have to be really careful what I let him watch and see on tv because he seems to be affected very easily. About a month or so ago I heard that a boy the I went to HS with had a son that drown in a river. I was watching a video on the news channel about it and was crying. He came in a saw and asked what I was watching. I explained to him and he got SO upset that the little boy drowned and died. He was so worried that would happen to his little brother and sister. He was so worried for the family. I had to stop on the way to preschool and say a prayer with him for the family because he was so upset by it. He seems very in touch with the spirit and many times find him off by himself saying a prayer for someone or something, without any promptings from me or Jon. He's such a loving and careing boy although has found his inner tease and has started testing it out on his siblings a little bit.

Brady- As usual my lovey dovey wants to snuggle with mom boy! I love it. He gets thinking about something and can't seem to drop it. For example he wants his friend Jake to come play and has been asking me every two minutes if he's coming even though I have told him each time i don't know his mom hasn't texted me back yet! He's up every morning by 7 and asks first thing which friend he can play with that day. I feel kind of bad for him this next year all his friends he plays with are the kids Kael's age and they will all be going to kindergarten. He will be in preschool twice a week and is very excited about that. He can't wait for his birthday to come or his baby sister! He's in Itty Bitty ball and so far we have learned has some fantastic Basketball skills when he focuses on what he's doing. Next week is tennis... we'll see how well I do since the parents get to participate!

We are headed to Disney in a couple of weeks and both boys are SO EXCITED! We have been counting down Church days for months. We are down to two more church days until we get to go.

Oakley is growing way to fast for my liking! She's talking so much and learns new words every day. She is a girl who know what, when and how she likes things and hasn't a problem expressing when she disagrees! She's a sweet little nut though. She loves her brothers and trys hard to play with them even when they don't want her to. She adores babies and I am sure will be plenty of help when Miss Sis arrives. On morning she woke up and asked where DaDa was I said he's at work already and she said "Oh Man" Her favorite word is HEY. If someone touches her blanket or something she wants she's right over there correcting them with a big "HEY MINE" or HEY MOVE". We sure love our Sassy Sis!

We made our first venture up the mountain for a picnic and it was FREEZING. We managed to have some fun though!

I have to say I am now a WHITESOX fan... and am in love with the cutest player on the team!
His favorite position to play is "picture" and is having a ball learning all about baseball. Especially when he gets to play catch with Dad. In the car after one of his games I was telling him something to do or not to do I can't remember and he piped up and said " Mom I am only small and have never played baseball before I am still learning give me a break!"

Such supportive siblings!

Thats all I have for now I need to take the most recent pics off of my camera! and Note to self put myself in more pictures! I have an ultrasound next week of baby girl I'll make sure to post pictures of our lovely baby girl! ONLY 13 more weeks until we get to meet her!

For when I need a reminder...

"Some might ask when faced with such suffering, how could Almighty God let this happen? And then that seemingly inevitable question, why did this happen to me? Why must we experience disease and events that disable or call precious family members home early or extend their years in pain? Why the heartaches? At these moments we can turn to the great plan of happiness authored by our Heavenly Father. That plan, when presented in the pre-earth life, prompted us all to shout for joy. Put simply, this life is training for eternal exaltation, and that process means tests and trials. It has always been so, and no one is spared."
